Missing Benjamin

We still cry over Benjamin’s death . Our oldest kisses a picture of him every night. If you ever have a baby die and have to have a funeral, please have your other kids present, no matter their age. Don’t shield your children from death. They need to know that the baby you had was [...]

Cancer and Christ

Now that I’m done with chemotherapy I’ll say that I’ve thought a lot over the last 6 months about why I have cancer. Atheists would say that stuff just happens, Prosperity preachers would say I didn’t have enough faith and didn’t speak words of healing over myself. Cancer!

I had my appendix out last October and since then was running a high fever every 2 to 3 weeks with no other symptoms. By the time Benjamin died I had abdominal pain and pain where one of the incisions was.  Levaquin knocked out the infection causing the abdominal pain and I felt great for [...]

I applied for a school of ministry at a large non-denominational church and was accepted. I had prayed before that God would close this door if he didn’t want me going into ministry. I was honest during the interview that I felt called to start a local family integrated church where people would feel comfortable [...]

Theological beliefs definition

I have been researching a lot of terms and ideas since this search began and I have finally found out what the theological term is for our beliefs. We are continualist reformed credo-baptists. And that means what now? Continualist means that you believe the gifts (miraculous and non miraculous) of the Holy Spirit didn’t end [...]

Shopping for a head covering

Sarah and I went to a messianic jewish store to look for head coverings today since we couldn’t find anything at the local wally world and she had a conversation with the owner about head coverings and found out that the owner has seen a rash of women of late come in convicted about wearing [...]

Head covering blowup

Yes it finally happened, we’ve had conversations with our mothers about head coverings. Both were unwilling to take a hard look at the scriptures with us and see why it is we came to our conclusion that Sarah should wear a head covering. Both mothers had basically said that they’ve studied it and didn’t feel [...]
